There were quite a few from Sunday night’s broadcast!

Beginning with the perfectly coifed rocking out to Adam Lambert and Queen’s show open (Javier Bardem) the night was full of moments.

Here were some of our favorites!

Best Super Hero Rescue

Captain America, Chris Evans, jumped into action when Best Supporting Actress Regina King appeared to catch her heel on her dress on her way to the stage and escorted her all the way to the stage.

Lee & Jackson

Best “Bro” Moment

Spike Lee jumps into Samuel L. Jackson’s arms.  We love these two; and we can only hope they reunite with Charles Barkley for some more hilarious Capital One commercials during March Madness.

Best Ovation the TV Audience Didn’t See

After the show stopping performance of Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, there was a well-deserved standing ovation. Then, during the commercial break, when they returned to their seats, the audience gave them another ovation. Plus, mad chemistry.

Best Inspirational Words

After receiving the Oscar for Best Song, Lady Gaga spoke about hard work and challenge, “But what it’s about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There’s a discipline for passion. And it’s not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or you’re beaten up. It’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.”

Best Impromptu Acceptance

Olivia Colman’s Best Actress award for her work in The Favourite surprised everyone, most especially Colman. Her acceptance speech was a spontaneous delight, from beginning with “This is genuinely quite stressful.” She promised to “snog” anyone she forgot to thank; she accused her husband of crying; she apologized to frontrunner Glenn Close; she said to little girls practicing in front of the telly, “You never know.” And she had the best conclusion of the night, “Lady Gaga.”

What more do you need to say.
